Learn how to play Aerosmith’s classic song Walk This Way
This Is The Walk This Way Drum Breakdown
Welcome to the Walk This Way drum breakdown. Here we will learn how to play a classic Aerosmith track on the drums.
Walk this way was originally released on the 1975 Toys in the Attic album featuring Joey Kramer on drums and it became the second single from that album. You might also know it from the collaboration with Hip Hop group Run DMC.
But on this drum lesson we are focussing on the original drum parts which feature some inventive playing from Joey. As soon as you hear that opening groove with the open hi-hat on beat one, you know which song it is. It’s a great example of how you can add one small addition to a very common groove and it takes on a new life.
