Welcome to my Sittingbourne drum lessons drum teacher profile.
My name is Declan Brown and I’m a professional drummer based in Sittingbourne, Kent. Since turning pro at 21 I have toured throughout the UK and Europe with my old band Fallen To Flux and current band NeonFly.
I have recorded on many albums, most recently NeonFly’s 3rd studio album ‘The Future, Tonight’, which was recorded with Grammy Nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda and is due for worldwide release in 2021.
I have played main stage at some of Europe’s major metal festivals including Czad Festiwal in Poland and Metal Fest/Masters of Rock in Czech Republic. I have supported bands such as Alice Cooper, Anvil, Nightwish and many others and have played to audiences of 10,000+ people.
I have been featured in some of the UK’s top music magazines including ‘New Band Of The Week’ for Music Radar with Fallen To Flux and a full page interview with Rhythm Magazine.
I teach from my purpose built home studio with several drum kits so students can use their own kit. I have a recording set up where you can record drum takes and videos either for YouTube or for your own use. I am happy to travel to the surrounding areas for lessons including, but not limited to, Swale and Medway for an agreed cost.
For graded exams I use either the Trinity or Rockschool syllabus and teach content from Total Drummer and my own material. My lessons are shaped around my students individual needs. No two lessons are the same as I aim to help students reach their full potential.
