Hi I’m Brett and welcome to my Perth drum teacher profile. I have been playing music in bands and a good stint of deejaying too for about 23 years. I have always been inclined to the rhythm section of the band and have played bass and drums in bands of various genres: rock, dub, reggae, punk, grunge and metal.

I have been honing my skills as a drummer with my Doom Duo project Cactus Galactic as well as programming drum tracks for us to work with and to share via our YouTube channel. I am always learning and this will be the case to my end of days.
I love all good music in many genres and have a particular passionate obsession with rock and heavy metal.

Having me as your drum teacher will improve your technique, knowledge and skills. I also bring much more to the table with my many years experience as a recording artist, band member, producer and label manager. If you desire we can learn the fundamentals of recording, tracking and mixing drums, as I have a fully set up recording studio and have been taught by professionals in all aspects of music production and studio business. Being also a bass player I will often jam with you to give you experience playing with other musicians. This will give you confidence and understanding of the important role and dynamic the bass and drums form as the ‘engine room’ in most bands of various genres.

I will tailor my tutoring to suit your needs and goals moving forward as a drummer. It is my intent to provide you a customized and personal experience that suits your current drumming abilities and brings out the best from you, all the time gradually pushing you forward in your skills and knowledge.

Based in Rockingham, Western Australia I can take students from the Perth Metro area including Mandurah.
