Teacher's Biography:
Welcome to my Ringwood drum lessons, Melbourne drum teacher profile.
Although I first picked up the sticks at age 3 it was during my teenage years where my passion for drumming really took hold.
Originally from Sydney I cut my teeth gigging in the rock and metal scene during the 90’s gigging extensively for 10+ years in many original and cover bands across a range of styles.
I have 20+ years of playing experience an during my career I received tuition from some of Australia’s best educators and clinicians including Pete Drummond, Tubby Wadsworth, Milan Troha and Robi Parolin.
As a teacher, I am calm, patient and understanding of all students drumming goals. Including yours. My methodical, disciplined teaching approach and ability to explain new concepts will have you achieving your drumming goals and further fueling your passion for this amazing instrument, the drums.
My complete and balanced teaching method is goal focussed that targets your weaknesses will have you supercharge your drumming abilities so that you progress fast. Whether it be learning to play drums for the first time, mastering that song you have always wanted to play or improving your drumming by introducing new rudimental concepts, I am here to help.
What I teach:
Specialising in beginner students, whether it be the first time your picking up the sticks or just looking for guidance to enhance your drumming skills.
- All styles taught including: Pop, Rock, metal, Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk, Latin.
- Groove/pocket playing
- AMEB lessons and exam preparation (all levels)
- Double bass and applying it to ALL styles of music, not just metal
- Limb independence and coordination
- Applying rudiments creatively and in a fun way

It provides a relaxed and fun environment for all ages and levels.

- As a member of the Total Drummer drum teaching program I have access to huge libraries of teaching material such as the main syllabus, famous song charts, drumless playalong tracks and everything else needed to deliver the best drum lessons possible.
