Learn how to play some challenging rudiment based drum beats
This Is The Paradiddlediddle Groove With Changing Bass Drums Lesson
Welcome to this paradiddlediddle drum lesson. Here we will learn how to play this common rudiment as a funky groove and gain freedom with the right foot within that context.
The paradidlediddle is a really useable rudiment both in drum beats and fills. Because it is a six note rudiment, it works very well for a sixteenth note triplet feel, or half time shuffle.
In this drum lesson we use it in that exact way so the first challenge is to learn that hand pattern. Once that is down we then test your right foot independence by learning six different bass drum placements within the groove.
By the end of this drum lesson you will have some useable and very funky drum beats.
