Welcome to my Palmerston North drum lessons drum teacher profile. I’m Brent Tanoa born and bred in Palmerston north, New Zealand.
I’ve been playing drums since I was 12 years old and started gaining live performance experience aged 16 playing in restaurants around Palmerston North.
I also started playing with various other bands of different genres in various venues around Palmerston North, including playing in church.
Recently I was one of the country winners for the Shure drum mastery 2019 competition and made the top 38 country winners.
If I had to pick a favourite genre it would be funk but I play and teach all styles of music. I love to teach and I’m very passionate about it.
I’ve taught drums for many years privately as well as in schools and I offer drum lessons to students of all ages and abilities in the Palmerston North area of New Zealand.
