Teacher's Biography:
Hi, I’m John. I teach drums in Newquay & around Cornwall, following my passion for music.
I studied the drums at Brighton Institute of Modern Music and have been a performing Drummer for over 20 years. Having moved to Newquay in 2021, I’m now passing on my love for music in teaching to you – no matter if complete beginner, accomplished drummer, young or senior.
My journey to becoming a drum teacher…
My drumming journey started when I was 10 years old, drumming along on my lap when watching the drummers at Top of the Pops. Luckily my music teacher insisted on me getting drum lessons, and so the journey began. Drum lessons throughout my teenage years concluded in me joining Brighton Institute of Modern Music.
I’ve played in various functions and originals bands in the UK, Europe and Australia, recorded albums, and met a bunch of amazing musicians along the way.
I love teaching, sharing my passion with others, and passing on my knowledge.
