Why should you bother though? Well often we get to a drum solo and we panic. The result is that we hit everything as fast as we can.
That can sound cool for a brief period but it gets boring quickly. So it’s much better to form solid ideas and create a narrative. And to make that interesting we can squeeze so many different sounds and effects from the drum kit.
