It’s not easy to survive as a musician but here is some help

So many of us dream of going professional as musicians but once we make that step we have to survive as a musician. And that can be tough.

It’s not an easy career path to walk down but if you know in your heart that this is the path you want to take then you should definitely take it. Now that you’ve made that bold decision it’s time to get serious. You need to get smart and do everything possible to make this work.

It can be done but you have to become a business person and make strategic moves.

I have seen lots of people try to go down this path with no plan, no business sense, and no real desire to learn and they have failed. Often these are the people that are lured by the ‘rock and roll lifestyle’ rather than an actual desire to be a professional musician on any serious level. The are often lured in for the wrong reasons and then fail to survive as a musician.
