Jeff is a drum teacher in Dufferin Street, Toronto drum lessons to drummers in Dufferin Street, Bloorcourt, Dufferin Grove, St. Clair West Village, Oakwood Village, Davenport, Earlscourt, and The Junction and surrounding areas in Toronto, Ontario.
Jeff Butterfield is a dedicated drum teacher with a teaching history of more than two decades. Specializing in instructing children aged 6 and above, as well as adults, he has made it his mission to present the necessary tools and skills for beginner drummers to develop into confident and capable musicians.
Jeff has been playing drums for over 30 years, and over that time has focused on many different aspects of percussion, and various styles of music. His educational background includes a degree in percussion performance from Appalachian State University, as well as graduate studies in percussion at Stony Brook University, where he greatly expanded his theoretical knowledge and practice techniques that still inform his methods to this day.
Aside from teaching, Jeff has contributed to the local music scene by lending his drumming skills to Toronto-based indie rock bands “Fighter/Lover” and “V Serious.”
Outside of his musical pursuits, Jeff finds relaxation in swimming, and channels his creativity into producing experimental electronic music.
