Ernest was a drummer from Czechoslovakia who powered the disco band ‘Heatwave’. He’s not a well known drummer to anyone outside of the disco genre but he performed on many huge disco tracks such as Grooveline, Too hot to handle, and Boogie nights.
Heatwave also had Rod Temperton in the writing their songs, who you might have heard of as a writer for Michael Jackson. That’s why some tracks such as Boogie Nights might sound familiar!
Ernest used some very inventive drum parts within the confines of disco and that need to create a groove that people can’t resist dancing too.
