Disco Inferno was a huge disco hit for The Trammps reaching the number one Billboard Hot 100 position after featuring in the ‘Saturday Night Fever’ film.
It was first released in 1976 on their fourth album titled ‘Disco Inferno’.
The drums were played by Earl Young who is often credited for inventing the disco style of drumming.
This is the ultimate disco song in many ways….after all, it is called Disco Inferno!
It starts with a simple yet deceptive drum fill which causes many people to count it wrong and then get caught out when the groove comes in. But once you see the drum sheet music it makes perfect sense.
