Here we will learn how to play Britpop drumming. This was a genre in Britain that was popular in the 1990s. Bands such as Blur, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene and Pulp brought a sense of Britishness by borrowing heavily on culture from 1960s Britain.
We will study drummers such as Tony McCarroll, Alan White, Dave Rowntree and Oscar Harrison.
Each of these drummers and the bands they played with offered a very different approach to drumming and many of the drum parts are instantly recognisable without hearing any other instruments.
In the course we break down the classic drum parts of the key drummers as well as providing full notation for songs and drumless play along tracks.
