Welcome to my Austin drum lessons drum teacher profile. My name is Seth Jones.

I’m originally from New Orleans and now live in Austin Tx. My musical journey began at the early age of 4years old. Growing up I was always fascinated with different sounds and beats that I  would always hear around me. So I started finding any and everything to beat on; TV remotes, pots, pans etc. My  parents didn’t like that very much so they brought me my first drum set.

I started playing for my Grandfathers church around 11 years old and that’s when I started to really develop and learn how to play the drums. It was here that I met many musicians and played with different artists around the New Orleans area.

Once I got to college, I joined a band by the name of Orange Joe. Through this I was able to experience working as a drummer, playing shows and traveling. I continued to work with different artists and continued to become better at what I love to do. I’ve been apart of various projects from gospel, pop, funk, rock and country. I played with Grammy nominated blues artists; Kern Pratt, and Grady Champion which were amazing experiences. I’m currently working with Grady and an artist named Will Wesley out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  

My experience as a drummer and musician has been a blessing,  I love what I do and there is no other feeling like being behind the drum set. Having the ability to really change people’s mood and give them an escape of whatever they are going though for however long they are at our shows is priceless!
