This Is The All Right Now Drum Notation

Welcome to the All Right Now drum notation. This is the best known song by awesome 70s rock band ‘Free’.

The life of Free was short but impactful, spawning some great hits such as ‘All right now’, ‘Fire and water’, and ‘Mr Big’ and really influencing the new rock genre.

All Right Now was released in 1970 on the Fire and Water album.

It has achieved enduring massive radio airplay but the album version is around a minute longer than the radio edit. It features a 16th note snare drum part by Kirke whilst Kosoff plays a guitar solo. It then drops away and cuts to the famous bass line before the legendary main guitar solo starts.

The drum part features quarter note hi-hats which leave a lot of space and can be deceptively tricky.

This is an essential song to know because there is a high chance you’ll have to play this at a gig one day so click the button to grab the All Right Now drum notation.
