The styles that I play are varied including jazz, funk, rock, pop, soul, RnB, progressive rock and more.

 

I passed with distinction the drum kit grade 7 exam so I am able to help drum students trough their grade exams successfully should they choose to go down that route.

I attended the first year of the BA of music at the Bellini Conservatory, in Palermo, Italy, where I studied jazz, music theory, harmony, improvisation on the drum set, ear training, sight-reading and history of jazz.

This experience gave me a better understanding of music structures, improvisation strategies, jazz vocabulary and large and small ensemble playing.

 

I attended a 12 weeks Jazz course at Morley College with Flavio Li Vinni and two full days workshop of Nakoma course with Asaf Sirkis. With Flavio, I have perfected my sense of timing, improved my coordination, sight-reading, foot, hand and brushes techniques, and worked on transcriptions and Jazz vocabulary. I also learned how to play different styles of music and time signature.

With Asaf, I learned how to apply Konnakol to better understand rhythm, and count common time and odd time signatures. The system that Asaf showed me is now part of my daily practice routine

 

My music theory knowledge is the equivalent of a grade 6 in UK and I am studying piano by myself.
I have experience recording in studio with bands and I also offer home recording as well. This recording experience allows me to prepare drum students for the recording studio.
